- archival Disc 117: Barrera's speech Contents: Side A: Barrera, speaking first in Maya, then in Spanish, gives a speech about how "contento" he is that Andrade's recording machine is working well, and he expresses the hope (apparently) that the equipment will be used to record Mayan languages. (Note: N.A. McQuown transcribed the Maya speech (c. 1965?).) Side B: A whispered voice (Andrade's?) introduces a series of vowels spoken by Barrera in order to demonstrate the "cualidad de las vocales".
- text Barrera's Maya speech, transcribed by N.A. McQuown (c. 1965?) Contents: A transcription of the Yucatec Maya speech only, which lasts a little over a minute.
